What is hydroseeding? Hydroseeding is a incredibly fast way to grow your lawn or to put greenscaping on an area that might have been destroyed by fire drought or flood.  Garden pots are great place to start flowers hydroseeding truckusing hydroseeding, You can go to the store and pick up what looks like a floor mat of biodegradable carpet that has been permeated with seeds. You roll it out and water it and in a few short days, you will start to see signs of life.

There are also companies that have the mixture shoot out through a pressurized nozzle coming from the back end of a pressurized container truck. You will have to prepare your property beforehand so make sure it is landscaped the way you want it first. The company will put a layer of what looks like green straw mulch and water but it isn’t straw mulch, and inside this mixture is grass seed with no weed seeds to be found.

The wet mixture will help the seeds to germinate and the grass or flowers, what ever you decide to put in, because you get choices here, will be visible around five to seven days after being spread. You get a really good looking lawn and splurge around one quarter the cost of a sod lawn. Of course this will also depend on how cold or hot the weather is, as always, spring time is probably the best time to spread hydroseeding mixtures.

After you have the hydroseeding applied, you should have some sort of PVC pipe watering system in place that would be on a water timer. If you don’t have a water timer attached to your watering system, you will have to water by hand and that could take a good portion of your free time. It is worth knowing you are going to keep your freshly laid mixture moist and give your new lawn, open area pasture or the side of your forgotten hill a great chance to make it what you want it to be.

You can get a water timer for your hose here that will keep the hose under pressure and only open the valve at the times you set on the timer. You only have to play with a couple of hose fittings to put one on the beginning of your hose bib leading from the house. They are normally put in place quite tightly, so have patience and use the proper tools to take off those parts that are stuck solid.
